| Bany graduated as a vet from Cairo University in 1995 and since then has mainly been working with poultry. He migrated to Australia in 1999 and worked for the Melbourne University Vet School, undertaking research work in poultry health and obtaining a Master of Veterinary Studies. He then worked at the DPI as a trainee in Veterinary Anatomical Pathology. More recently, Bany has been working with the RSPCA in Burwood as a veterinary assistant.
Bany has always loved animals. During his childhood he owned a pet dog named Whiskey. As the eldest boy in the family, he was charged with the task of looking after his family cows, sheep and goats. This early childhood exposure to animals developed in Bany an incredible love and passion for animals and instigated his pursual of a veterinary education.
